Born to Magnus Institute Archival Assistant Eric Delano and cutthroat paranormal expert Mary Keay, Gerard was part of a world of paranormal terrors before he had even opened his eyes. He spent his entire life studying metaphysical paradoxes, conferencing with dark powers, crossing the globe in search of powerful tomes, and hunting monsters. Eventually this led him to a role as the assistant to Head Archivist Gertrude Robinson, ultimately ending in a perfectly natural death followed by a supernatural resurrection.
Using his extensive knowledge of ancient and terrible powers of fear, expertise fighting monsters, and a gift of supernatural insight from his patron, Gerry makes a valuable ally in any paranormal situation. His special vision allows him to see past appearances both magical and mundane, allowing him to quickly look past visual misconceptions or metaphysical masks. He can also spot marks left by the Fears--- or their equivalents in other worlds. Additionally, he is a feisty punk who makes up for his lack of offensive powers with a nasty right hook.
